The "Summer Games" will consist of a variety of GPS caching games. Each game will earn the players one or more raffle tickets. You will receive your earned tickets when you sign in at the event on Aug. 10th. For event information please see: Lets Get Together--Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!
Each game will require the use of a hand held GPS receiver. If you have friends who want to get into the sport but don't own a GPS this would be a GREAT time to invite them to join you because the two grand prizes are brand new Magellan GPS receivers! General Rules:
To enter to play you must be a Utah resident, and be signed up at www.geocaching.com You must also complete the "Summer Games" entry form. Just click on the Summer Games link and then click "New Player sign up" (Only one entry per household). Once you've signed up you will need to send us an email to verify your email address, please include a photo of your household to post on the players list. The photo is not mandatory however, the email is! If you don't have a digital camera and would like to have your picture posted, please tell us that in your email and we will arrange to meet with you for a Kodak moment!
If you play as a team but are from separate households then you can sign up as separate players however each player must find "ALL" of the game caches. It is against the rules to share code words etc. with other players who have not actually found the items.
Each registered player (household) must find their own set of items for the scavenger hunt. In other words the items found by one household can't be used by your cousin Vinny who is registered as a different household. You will also need to keep the scavenger items you list and present them when you sign up at the drawing. If you are unable to attend the drawing please contact us in advance to have us verify your items. Please send us a picture or post a picture of your items on the geocaching web site.
Limited Edition "Summer Games" cards:
These tickets are being randomly placed in caches across Utah so keep your eyes open!
If you find a Limited Edition "Summer Games" card in a cache hold on to it. You must bring the card to the Aug 10th event. These cards are only redeemable the day of the event and are good for one raffle ticket. You must come to the event to redeem these cards.
B I N G O
Each registered player(s) to sign up for the B I N G O games and play long enough to get a regular bingo will receive a raffle ticket.
The 1st player to get a bingo in each of the six designated games will receive the prizes that were designated for that game from the ante bucket and a raffle ticket. A player can win more than once. In other words if you're 1st to fill the small picture frame and your next number found gives you the 1st regular bingo you would win the prizes designated for those two games and two raffle tickets.
Please don't share the code words with other players who have not gone to the trouble of finding them.
Additional Rules will be posted with each game as they are announced. These rules are general and may not apply to all of the games. Other rules may be added if the cachunuts find it necessary to implement additional rules.
