What You Need to Play:
1) A GPS Receiver and access to the Internet.
2) A desire to hunt down the rubber stamps in caches around Utah.
3) (Optional) A small notebook (preferably with unlined pages, if you can find one).
4) (Optional) A rubber stamp ink pad.
The Gamepiece Stamps
A number of small rubber stamps have been hidden in geocaches around the state of Utah. Each stamp is labeled with a name, a number, and a 4-character code. There are 41 stamps to begin with--and others may be added later.
Registering to Play
If you are new to the Cachunut web site, the first time you sign in you will be asked for your e-mail address, home address, city, state, home phone number and birth date. ( This information is confidential and will not be published anywhere).
The Game and Scoring
This game is similar in nature to the "Are U Nuts?" game. Using your GPSr and the "Last Known Position of All Stamps" page, locate a cache containing a "Stampin' Fools" game piece (a rubber stamp). You can "pickup" the rubber stamp and take it with you to "place" in another cache, or leave it where you found it. Each stamp is worth 5 points, except the "Crown" stamp which is worth 10 points.
In order to score points, you need to do two or three things:
1) Log a "pickup" at this website. To do this you need to know the name, number, and code of the stamp.
2) (Optional) Using your inkpad imprint your notebook with the stamp's image.
3) Log a "placement" of the stamp at this website. To do this you need to know the Name and Waypoint number of the cache where you left (or placed) the stamp.
Points are awarded only when you log a stamp "placement". You can only receive points for a particular stamp once. You can move it as often as you like, but you will only receive points the first time.
Prizes,
The first 5 players to reach 100 points will receive a prize "worth up to ? dollars". To claim your prize, send an email to SirGeraldAndLadyLeAnn@Hotmail.com. SirGerald will verify your point level on the game's leaderboard and email you instructions on how to collect your prize. One prize per household, please.
Guidelines
1) Please keep all gamepieces in the state of Utah.
2) Log "pickups" and "placements" promptly. If you won't be able to place the gamepiece in another cache within a few days, consider leaving it where it is so that it remains in play for other players.
3) Don't share the gamepiece codes with anyone who has not actually found it on their own.
4) Play fairly and HAVE FUN!
